Pennsylvania Route 144 was selected as Hagerty’s 2026 Road of the Year, bringing new attentions to this scenic drive through north-central Pennsylvania. The route passes through  downtown Bellefonte before winding north through Snow Shoe, Renovo, and the Pennsylvania Wilds on its way to Galeton. Along the journey, travelers enjoy more than 100 miles of mountain curves, forest scenery, overlooks, and small Pennsylvania communities.
